I have been raising 5 bearded dragons for about 9 months now. Three are sub-adults, two are juveniles Two of the sub-adults are males. I got a huge shock when I went in to care for my reptiles, in my reptile room. The two males were in the same cage!!!! They seem to be getting along fine. What do I do?.

First off, welcome to BDF! Glad you joined us! :bd:
I'm not sure I understand - one of them switched cages or something?
Are the two males that are together subadults or juveniles?

Thank you very much. They are both sub-adults, over 300 grams each. Their enclosures are right next to each other. Although, I made it so that they cannot see each other. I went in tonight to find the slightly larger and older male dragon in the other males enclosure. He must of jumped or something. I could not have been more surprised! I have been monitoring them closely. So far, they seem to get along wonderfully. I don't know if I should put the one back in his enclosure, or let them be together?

That's pretty crazy!

Personally, I would separate them before there's an incident. Not to say there will be for sure, but IF there is, you'll regret leaving them together. Or at least, I would.

I've often considered housing beardies together, but I'm so scared they'll fight and one will get seriously hurt... But I sometimes feel bad because if I was a beardie I'd like a friend in my tank with me

Hi, Well yesterday I took Josh's suggestion and separated them immediately. I've just heard horrible things about males getting into fights. But maybe because one is very laid back kinda dragon, nothing happened? I'm just lucky to I guess. But the one had to of jumped out of his 40 gallon tank, into the other one!
