I might have caught Precious drinking from a bowl maybe 3 times. She never drank in her bath either but I offer her water from a syringe every day.
When I came home from work, Tequilo's water was a mess, all the substrate was in it. Precious was sunning in the window and I let Tequilo out. I put some water down on the floor because I didn't know if he might be thirsty for fresh water. He eventually goes to drink. Precious went running to him as soon as she saw he was out and she's just standing there watching him. Then she took a lick of it too! It was so funny because she acted like the concept of drinking water from a bowl was so new and interesting, lol!
I think poor Precious wanted him to follow her back to the window but his newest fascination is the vent on the floor and Precious finds that quite uninteresting.
A few weeks ago, Tequilo was MIA for a few minutes. I could not figure out where he could be. The only other possibility left was that he got under the door into the closet but I thought he was too big to be able to fit under, but I was wrong. Opened the door and there he was climbing a pile of clothes. So the next couple of days after, I stuffed a towel underneath the door. But since he knew he could get there before, he was determined to keep trying! He would go side to side and trying to climb the door, trying to figure out his way back in there.
All of a sudden one day, Precious comes along and is watching him. Can you believe the little smarty pants climbed on top of the towel, dove her face down between the towel and door, and then started digging until the towel was pulled out! Ironically, Precious couldn't even care less about the closet. Thanks to Precious, now Tequilo knows what to do with the towel so that didn't work anymore!
I wound up having to put an expandable window screen up against the closet door and that's done the trick so far and Tequilo has moved onto other missions for now.
