Bearded Dragon Egg

Hi, I am new to the group. I have a 7 month old male citrus bearded dragon that I purchased through an online breeder. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old. His name is Irwin and he is such a sweet boy. I originally bought him for my son for Christmas but have completely fallen in love with him. Prior to his arrival my son and I read numerous articles and info on caring and raising a beardie. I wanted to make sure we had the knowledge to care for him properly. He has been a wonderful happy healthy little dragon up until about 6 weeks ago when I noticed he began eating less and less until he quit eating all together. So, I brought him into see the vet and had him checked out. The vet did a fecal smear and stated he had very high levels of Coccidia and also some pinworms. She said she usually doesn't treat for parasites since they all normally carry some levels of it, but he had a lot of Coccidia. She even showed me under the microscope. She gave me Albon and Panacur to begin treatment for the parasites. So I began his treatment, sterilized everything he owns and continue to steam clean his cage and accessories almost daily. I also bathe him daily to keep him hydrated. He does not eat and I have been syringe feeding for weeks now. He finished his medication last week and I've been giving him Bene bac to replenish his good gut flora but still he does not eat. Through his treatment and most likely due to me syringe feeding him he has maintained his weight until now. I quit syringe feeding him for a week to see if he would eat on his own and he didn't and he lost 6 grams. So, now I'm back to syringe feeding him again. He does not want to come out of his hide in the morning so I have to take him out to bath him, feed him and let him bask. Once he's out he seems ok but still refuses to eat. His lighting and temps are fine. Repti sun 10.0 and basking temps are 105-110, cool side is 81-85. I just ordered some Reptiaid which I read may help him in this situation. I just don't understand why he's not eating ? I did everything textbook and I thought the medication would rid him of the parasites and make him well again and his appetite would return. I especially thought the probiotics would do the trick as well. Is it possible he needs another round of medication ? That it wasn't enough ? He took Albon for 5 days straight and then every other day for 5 doses and Panacur for 3 days straight and then every 7 days for 2 doses. I want to take him back to the vet but the reptile vet is very expensive here and I'm trying to get the $. I'm just looking for some advice on what it may be or what I can do ? I'm doing everything I can and I'm really getting discouraged. I just want him to be normal again and eat like the little piggy he once was.

I would get the poop rechecked to make sure you got the parasites under control. Keep up with what you are doing. It's possible his tastes have changed since being on the meds. My girl was on Panacur and used to love eating her salads and supers before and now she reluctantly eats supers and isn't so excited about her salads any more. She goes crazy for silkworms and hornworms though.
