She had been doing good until today. She has not ate all day, and has been sleeping and basking.Never even took a small crix; I am going to wait until tomorrow and see how she is and try giving her some baby food-her temps are 110-hot side and 80-85-cool side in A 20-Long with a hammock, little bridge to bask on, and a wood hut on her cool side. Had her a week and 1-day.I bathed her yesterday and she has some shed coming off-of her right leg. Would this make the baby stop eating?? Yesterday she took a couple of phoenix worms bowels moved this am but her tummy looks like she needs to eat.she is quite young but would the shedding affect her appite that much?? Thanks in advance for any info or help-river-7-Sorry I will bath her again tomorrow.

What are her night time temps like? What foods have you been feeding her? Just crickets? Can you post a photo of her and her enclosure?
She could be irritated from the incomplete shed but if it's just her leg that isn't too likely. You can mist her enclosure to help her get that extra shed off.

Hi; Josh; Thanks for your response-I have never had one this small before-she is actually a very small baby about 3-1/2 inches. When she had been eating it was 2-3-crix; some times more but I just looked at her again and it's both legs that is shedding.I will be bathing her in the morning again. The night temps are about 74.6 that is the lowest it goes. And it's just today. she ate a couple of phoenix worms yesterday and a couple of crix. but today nothing. She is in her little hammock and eyes closed and looks like she hates the whole world. I think maybe she just don't know what's happening. It may be her first shed. I am going to try some baby food if she refuses crix; tomorrow. She is not eating greens so basically her diet consists of crix; and salad[which she don't eat] and a few phoenix worms.Sorry Josh; I can't post pics as it's a new computer and I don't have a clue about windows 8 to begin with I have pics but on computer and when I go to post them they disapear.[sp] She is really just starting this shed. Loves a bath, I gave her 1-sat; and will give another one tomorrow and maybe that will help her. She is pretty active when feeling better. I didn't think a shed would effect a baby this small but I guess it does, any other opinions would be appreciated.river-7

I've read from a few people that their bearded dragon's get very cranky when they are shedding and refuse to eat. So it's a possibility that could be what's going on. Good that she likes baths, those help. Still offer her greens even if you think she's not eating them. It's more important that babies get more protein at this stage so its okay if she isn't eating salad right now. Make sure the crickets you are offering her are pin head crickets, they should be no bigger than the space between their eyes.

One BIG thing that someone on this forum taught me is DON'T FREAK OUT!!! If she doesn't eat today it's okay, maybe she'll eat a little tomorrow. There's so little we understand about these little guys so it's all a learning experience.

They can get a bit cranky when they have a shed. I have two male and female and at the moment they dont seem to be interested in much veg and greens and fruit atall im not sure if baby beardies can go into brumation at that young of an age might be worth u looking at its a good explanation of a bearded dragons "hibernation" so to speak

Hi; all; Thanks but I am not talking about just vegs She has not ate anything-I give her greens whether she eats them or not but she has not ate anything. Hopefully today she will eat something. I know older beardies will not eat from a shed but I didn't think a baby this young would refuse food. Thanks to all for help-river-7
