Firstly, I truly hate this is my first post on this forum. It's really my SO's beardie but I figured there are some intelligible people floating around on here.
49 hours ago at the event horizon my gf and her daughter had just gotten back to her daughters apartment after a trip to Walmart. Her daughter apparently picked up a can of Raid Ant and Roach killer. Carlos (BD) goes everywhere my GF goes and is literally co-dependent if I've ever seen it. Occasionally she will let Carlos crawl around and do his thing and keep an eye on him. Well her daughter sprayed the boundaries indoor apparently while her mom was in the bathroom. Carlos apparently was on the floor and crawled into the corner which was still wet from the oil based spray for what was believed to be around 2-3 minutes. When this was noticed her daughter let her know and she ran to grab him and immediately drew a bath and washed him with soapy water thoroughly. Then drained and ran more water without soap to rinse him and dried him off. He was apparently thirsty and drank a good amount of water during the rinse. Within 30 minutes Carlos began to exhibit hyperexcitability. So we realized that he indeed had some poisoning and I biked as fast as I could to get him some activated charcoal. This was administered approximately 2 hours after the event.
Cypermethrin is one of the two synthetic pyrethroids found in Raid Ant and Roach spray. Hyperexcitability I'm contributing to CM due to the effected gated voltage dependent sodium channels being deregulated causing neurons to fire off when and where they shouldn't.
Later on he began pawing at his stomach randomly and twitching from time to time. A few times an hour. Cypermethrin is readily absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract in reptiles and is more lethal for aquatic life cats and reptiles. Pyrethroids are naturally derived from chrysanthemum plants. Cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid.
Carlos shows that he is experiencing at least random bouts of pain. He also was (not anymore) sticking his back leg in the air and leaving it. An activated charcoal slurry has been given since around the clock every 6-8 hours. He couldn't sleep the first 40 hours, randomly twitching and moving circles to bed every so often. Then right back wide awake again. He showed panic for the first 40 hours especially when I talked or there was too much external stimuli.
At 42 hours he was given a fifth bath, and he chose to go to his sun bathing window hammock to bask. She left him there to go to work at 12pm. I came home from work at 4:30pm and Carlos seems to have improved some. He did not do much twitching at all up to 11pm current time. He may have twitched twice and gasped twice.
Imiprothrin is the second poison and is synergistic of the first.
So my question. He is finally sleepy but still having a bit of trouble. I believe CBD oil may be beneficial in helping him with neurotoxic pain and coughing as well as anxiety and sleep. He is 600 grams. Anybody know how much pure hemp oil I can give our dragon safely? We love the hell out of him and it kills me even the thought of him being in pain. Thank you for your time!!!
