Firstly, I truly hate this is my first post on this forum. It's really my SO's beardie but I figured there are some intelligible people floating around on here.

49 hours ago at the event horizon my gf and her daughter had just gotten back to her daughters apartment after a trip to Walmart. Her daughter apparently picked up a can of Raid Ant and Roach killer. Carlos (BD) goes everywhere my GF goes and is literally co-dependent if I've ever seen it. Occasionally she will let Carlos crawl around and do his thing and keep an eye on him. Well her daughter sprayed the boundaries indoor apparently while her mom was in the bathroom. Carlos apparently was on the floor and crawled into the corner which was still wet from the oil based spray for what was believed to be around 2-3 minutes. When this was noticed her daughter let her know and she ran to grab him and immediately drew a bath and washed him with soapy water thoroughly. Then drained and ran more water without soap to rinse him and dried him off. He was apparently thirsty and drank a good amount of water during the rinse. Within 30 minutes Carlos began to exhibit hyperexcitability. So we realized that he indeed had some poisoning and I biked as fast as I could to get him some activated charcoal. This was administered approximately 2 hours after the event.

Cypermethrin is one of the two synthetic pyrethroids found in Raid Ant and Roach spray. Hyperexcitability I'm contributing to CM due to the effected gated voltage dependent sodium channels being deregulated causing neurons to fire off when and where they shouldn't.

Later on he began pawing at his stomach randomly and twitching from time to time. A few times an hour. Cypermethrin is readily absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract in reptiles and is more lethal for aquatic life cats and reptiles. Pyrethroids are naturally derived from chrysanthemum plants. Cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid.

Carlos shows that he is experiencing at least random bouts of pain. He also was (not anymore) sticking his back leg in the air and leaving it. An activated charcoal slurry has been given since around the clock every 6-8 hours. He couldn't sleep the first 40 hours, randomly twitching and moving circles to bed every so often. Then right back wide awake again. He showed panic for the first 40 hours especially when I talked or there was too much external stimuli.

At 42 hours he was given a fifth bath, and he chose to go to his sun bathing window hammock to bask. She left him there to go to work at 12pm. I came home from work at 4:30pm and Carlos seems to have improved some. He did not do much twitching at all up to 11pm current time. He may have twitched twice and gasped twice.

Imiprothrin is the second poison and is synergistic of the first.

So my question. He is finally sleepy but still having a bit of trouble. I believe CBD oil may be beneficial in helping him with neurotoxic pain and coughing as well as anxiety and sleep. He is 600 grams. Anybody know how much pure hemp oil I can give our dragon safely? We love the hell out of him and it kills me even the thought of him being in pain. Thank you for your time!!!

Poor dragon I feel your pain --- let me see if I can get some help on this - there is a vet tech on this board now - but she is on late at night -- I will post this to her to see if she sees it quicker -

Thank you! Carlos actually was able to sleep last night I believe fairly well! I think he's snuggled up in Mom's arms which is a great sign because he hadn't felt like doing even that over the last two days which is definitely abnormal for him. He prefers his momma over his dad and let's me know by guarding her lol. Today we are focused on getting him to eat without forcing it. He is definitely a bit weak so we're buying mealworms parsley cilantro and maybe portabello abd juicing to make a slurry. He hates the charcoal but if he wakes up energized and doesn't twitch for the first few hours we will cut back on the charcoal. Pet releaf is the brand of cbd oil I was contemplating. He may not even need it. I don't dare wake them yet though ha. Thank you for all your help and I will update when I can!

Ok hes not black bearding that is good -- he looks ok in the pic- I would keep an eye on him -- I want Tracie to advise on this the parsley cilantro will detox him so that is good if he will eat that
I would appreciate the advice! Thank you for that. Carlos woke up SUPER excited and he ran around bright orange eyes to jump up in the window to watch the cars and catch the . He is bobbing his head at the cars, lol, yeah he feels so much better at the moment! We are so happy. We are still going to take precaution because Cypermethrin is nasty and likes to hang around in the liver. It's actually used to target lizards and reptiles sometimes.

Hello,

Sorry for my delay! I had to change computers for awhile.
Do you have the label available on the CBD? I can help dose it for you. Does it have the mgs on the label?
It doesn't take much of the CBD to give to them.
Have you given the cilantro, parsley, oregano, mint, etc slurry to him daily, along with the continued use of
activated charcoal?
I am glad to hear he is doing so well, considering the situation. Has his beard been dark at all?c

I hope he continues to do better each day.

Thank you for your concern! Carlos has made a complete recovery and is very very thankful of it! He shows us every morning by running around the room and going up to the window to bob his head at oncoming traffic or anyone passing by on the side walk lol. He isn't twitching anymore or pawing at his stomach and for that we are very very grateful! He made a full recovery it would seem so I think I will skip on giving him the cbd. Pyrethrins are super dangerous to reptiles and I don't know why they don't place warnings on the labels for cats aquatic life and reptiles in particular. We got very lucky! I cannot thank the both of you enough for taking the time to be concerned about our Carlos! He thanks you too!

Hello,

How is your dragon doing today, any improvements? I am glad that he is doing good. Since you started
the activated charcoal so quickly that is really what helped him out so much. I am happy to hear he hasn't
had any twitching on his tummy now. You can use the CBD safely on Carlos anytime though!
Keep us posted on him!

Tracie
