Simplify the expression, and identify the variables, coefficients, and any constant term(s) in the simplified expression.

10x * z
y 12

Yeah I get it till 10xz / 12y. Then do you have to divide by 2 to get 5xz / 6y.....
Is that answer not correct???

IF . . . I remember correctly and you want to simplify even more you have to multiply by 6y / 1 to remove the divide part and it will then become

30 xzy

But like I said, I SUCK at math, thats why there are computers and calculators.

no you leave it how it is...you just reduce the fraction my taking out the greatest common factor ( which is 2). I have a friend who is a college math teacher that helps me with things like that. It is so easy for her, she can do it all in her head, but I guess that is what happens when you do math for a living.

need help on this one too

Are you solving for x? If so, is x tied to 9 or 8x/9?

Also, what is your math class? algebra?

solving for x and the x is tied to the 9. I am taking algebra. I was able to solve it.

8/9x=64
9/8*8/9x=64/1*9/8
x=64/1*9/8 reduces to
x=8*9
x=72
