Today I came home from college late and I bought super worms, my beardy was pretty hungry and a full super worm fell into the cage and he snatched it up, it is now hanging out of his mouth and I don’t know if I should pull it out or what pls help.

Is he choking on it? Pull it out if he is? If it’s just dangling there maybe brush it off so he can eat the rest. Make sure you’re not feeding him anything bigger than the space between his eyes in the future.

It was not choking him, I pulled as much off as I could and he swallowed the rest, is there anything I should do to make sure he can digest it ok.

You can give him unsweetened applesauce as a natural laxative. Give him a warm soak in the sink or bathtub for 5-10 minutes for the next few days if you’re really worried about him not being able to pass it. This helps them hydrate and gets them to go poop. Just make sure you keep a close eye on him when he’s in the water.

Ok thank you, and it’s peferctly ok that I put him in the bath tub when he’s a baby? I was told I should wait a couple weeks by some of my friends.

I think I started giving my beardie baths right away, but if you want you could wait for someone else to reply on the thread before giving him one. Maybe look on other threads regarding this? I think the younger you get them acclimated to water the more likely they are to like it rather than hate baths like some beardies do.

Just make sure that he gets hydrated. Drip some water on the tip of his nose or put some in a bowl and run your fingers through it to get his attention to lick it. Get him to eat his greens. As long as he's hydrated and he has a basking temp of 107 degrees, he should be able to digest it. They don't absorb water through the bath so rather than stressing a baby out by putting them in a tub of water, try the other ways first.
