I got Falkor by shipment Thursday AM. I followed reader's instructions and tried to feed him crickets a couple of hours later. He ate three or four small ones. Friday AM, I put out greens mixed per breeder's recipe and later tried to feed him crickets, small dubia and BSFL but he didn't eat anything. I bathed him in the PM. He also pooped in the PM. Saturday AM he ate a couple crickets, one dubia and one BSFL but no greens. I bathed him again in the PM and I could see him drinking. He didn't eat anything again this morning.

It looks to me like he's lost weight, but that may just be my imagination. Temps are 105/106 on the hot side and 83/84 on the cool side. He spends most of his time basking but is quick and agile when I move or hold him.

Should I be worried at this point?

No i dont think theres a cause for concern just yet. It was probably stressful for him in transit, and obviously the new enclosure. So i would carry on what you are doing, dont rush him in to anything, give him a couple of weeks to settle in.

If it persists after 3 weeks then see your vet.

Yea I wouldn't stress too much as they go thru what we call relocation stress or rehoming stress. give him time and go slowly with him..Keep offering the greens and bugs and he should settle in just fine. I would suggest getting a scale if you haven't already so you can keep tabs on his weight.

Falkor is two days short of seven weeks old. He's exactly 7" long and weighs 11 grams on our postal scale. Is that within an acceptable range?

He ate one cricket again today and pooped a little as well.

He sounds like he is doing good. He just needs some time to settle in. Keep a log of his weight and his length as long as he gains weight all is good.

Yep sounds like he's doing well, you should see those #'s go up pretty quickly the more he eats.

I really hope so. I'm way too old to be doing this kind of worrying about a child. I'm supposed to be worrying about my own ailments!
I hear ya I have health issues myself. Just keep doing what your doing and keep those temps good, UVB good, gut load your feeders well and your little one should really take off..
