do beardies ever need to get their nails trimmed?
Only if they never go outside or have any structure in their cage that has a rough texture (which helps file the nails). If you see their claws starting to get long and curve then definitely get them trimmed to avoid it being difficult to walk.

If u choose to cut them have on hand corn starch or flour, if u cut too much and make em bleed dip the nail in it to clot the blood, a nail file is easier ive found but does take longer.

I bet one of those Emory board type of nail files would be the best bet...would probably be quicker than a metal nail filer.
