Hey guys! I'm new on here so I wanted to introduce myself and my baby! I'm Krystal and my beardie is Otto. I'm not sure how old he is but he is teeny!! His favorite food is phoenix worms and his favorite greens are mustard ☺I purchased him at the Sacramento reptile show. He is a leatherback and I was told he is hypo (don't exactly know what that is). When I first brought him home he was beyond stressed. His whole body was black. Within a week, he grew accustomed to his new home. I will post a progression picture and some others Happy to be here! ❤

Welcome Krystal. Otto is tiny :) they grow fast so he is probably very young.
Im glad he is adjusting babies seem to be the most sensitive to change from what I read. (I got mine as subadult so idk from exp.)
He is definitely a leatherback but I doubt the hypo from what I see. Hypo is a reduction of dark pigmentation and one of the best signs of this is the nails will be clear.
This is a very helpful place and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Im sure one of us will be able to help you :)

Looking from the picture it seems his nails are dark! I definitely have heard babies get stressed a lot easier. I'm just glad he is coming around :) he sometimes looks a brown tan color and other times he looks a yellow orange. Is that weird or normal for his colors to look different sometimes?! Thanks for the reply :)

Quite normal for the colors to change. Lighting and heat will make a difference in that. Also if you soak yours that will bring out the colors nicely.
