He’s really cute, does he have a blankie in his hide? If not you can get a clean dish rag and rub it on your body to get him use to your scent.

Question my new guy I got today is eating well and now right after he ate his bugs he moved to the highest point right under the UBV light (an Arcadia 14% D3 See photo) is that a problem at that height it’s about 6”? He has not gone up there all day

I see the stress marks-- is the 14% in the tank or top of screen? How high is the tank? 14% bulbs require a distance of 17-18 inches inside the tank--- if it's a 24" inch height and on top.of screen the screen needs to.be a wide holed and I am not sure of distance for that but I will.say 6" is wayyyyy to close- even for a T 5

It’s in the tank it’s a 18” height tank I noticed the marks but he has only been home 12 hours and is eating well in a new home and exploring I will check in the morning all other spots are 10 to 15 inches away. It’s a 48” long tank seems like a 24” light would be to small I have a 34”

No the 24" inch is good the 14% bulb is going to be too strong - you don't have the distance- but let me check w/ someone - is the screen a fine screen? I am thinking you should consider getting a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 or a Arcadia 12% bulb--- distance for those is 12-15 inches-- but please for now move that bulb up to the 18 inches - how high is the basking decor? It needs to be at least 17-18 inches below-
