Bearded Dragon Egg

Hello! My 4yo bearded dragon, Gremlin, began laying infertile eggs on 8 days ago. I honestly had no clue she was gravid because she was acting like her normal self and I didn’t feel any eggs in her abdomen when I handled her. She laid 20 eggs in about 8 hours that night, they were fully formed and she seemed fine, just exhausted. The next few days, she gained all her strength back and was eating really good! She was drinking water and being very responsive and alert. Now about 5 days ago, I let her free roam my room after being recovered and we had a great time chasing dubias! I really thought she was 100% better. The next day, I noticed her beard was darkish and that she put herself to sleep, I thought maybe she was thermoregulating because she does that quite often. I continued to monitor her, she was still eating and basking normally. I was ready to call her vet if I needed to but nothing was super concerning besides her grey beard. Then, I woke up yesterday and she looked horrible. She had a bowel movement and then a ton of egg yolk came out with it :( She pushed out what seemed to be a decaying egg to me and as she was pushing it, her body was trembling. My sister is in vet medicine, not exotics though but she still knows enough to assess the situation and it was not looking good for my girl. I asked her what we should do because it’s saturday and her vet office opens on monday. We tried extremely hard to find an emergency vet that would see her but no one could. That afternoon, she pulled herself up on her rock and laid with her head upright and slumped against the glass. Her beard was jet black at this point and her eyes looked lifeless. But then, a few hours later, she was acting completely normal and like nothing happened at all. It was so strange and threw me off! She crawled into her cave at the end of the day and I said goodnight. I was worried she would pass in her sleep but she didn’t. When I woke up she was in her cave and there was egg yolk everywhere. It was all over her face, her tummy and her hands. Her eyes and fat pads are quite sunken in which is alarming because they weren’t in that state yesterday at all. I believe she must’ve gotten a few eggs stuck higher up in her reproductive tract and they didn’t come down in time and began to go bad and rupture. Right now, I’m watching her closely. She’s basking and black bearding pretty badly, the sides of her body are turning dark too. I’m calling her vet first thing tomorrow morning if she makes it through today. I fear because of the timing of this, it being the weekend and emergency vets saying they cannot help her, it might be too late to save her. I realize how serious egg yolk peritonitis is and I’m very worried for her. I’m trying to keep her comfortable and offering her food with lots of calcium and trying to keep her hydrated but she isn’t interested in eating. Even her favorite bugs she turns her head to. I checked all of her temps with my infared thermometer and they were all great and so are her humidity levels.

I am just wondering, because this is an impossible situation where the odds don’t seem to be in her favor, does anyone know how else I could make this easier for her? Until I can hopefully get her to the vet? I’m scared she won’t survive another day but I want to make sure she can pass in peace. Thank you.

I reached out to two people one has responded the other is a vet tech on the forum - waiting for her to reply - she will respond directly to you
here is the one response I got
So sorry to hear this, you are correct to assume egg yolk peritonitis. It's too bad no vet would see her. Maybe call back and beg them for some antibiotics, surely they could quickly look up what type and how much to prescribe in this situation since beardies are now a commonly kept pet. Other than that I can't think of anything you could do for her.
