Moving with a beardie

I will be moving in a year and wanted to get a head start in figuring out how to properly go about it with my two beardies. We won't be moving far, at most it would be a half-hour drive, but I want to make sure I do it right and keep the stress to a minimum. If there are any tips you can give on how to transport them, how to integrate them to the new location, and anything else that you think could be of use it would be appreciated.
I am also planning on getting a larger tank for my male beardie and was wondering if it would be better to move him into the tank and give him the year to get used to it before the new house, or if I should wait until the move happens.
Like I said earlier, any tips or info that can be given would be appreciated. Thank you for your time
Sincerely, Hjena

Presonally, I would chamge the tank now if you possibly can. That way you have time for him to adjust to it, for you tweak any heating or lighting issue that may arise with the larger tank (where to place lights and decor for enough heat and uvv, etc). This will be less stressful for you, as you can just move the new tank without the worry of adjusting those while you are trying to set up your place for yourself. It also gives him a familiar enclosure to come home to. Unless your beardies have a lot of free roam time now, they should have minimal disruption (other than a change of scenery outside of their enclosures).

I wouldn’t overthink it. Soft sided carrier for the car ride should do the job. I haven’t found that they get all that stressed by moving locations. Setting up the larger enclosure now can be beneficial more for the added space than acclimation.

I already have everything set up to get the new tank so I'll move forward on that, he should have plenty of time to get used to it.
Thank you for the quick reply and your insight

Thank you for replying, They both have a soft-sided carrier for vet visits so they should be all set there. I just want to make sure I'm going about this properly
Thanks again for replying, I'll try not to overthink the whole situation
