Mixed Greens Question

I recently found a bag of mixed greens that includes Collard Greens, Kale Greens, Mustard Greens and Turnip Greens. Most of what I've researched, all are fine as staple greens. Just thought I'd verify with the group here:)

Also, my beardie has never had a problem eating the greens, it's when I try mixing in a veggie, he avoids them at all costs. I've tried carrots, tomatoes, bell peppers, cabbage etc... How vital to his diet are veggies in addition to the greens? He's about a year old. His diet also includes Crickets and Supers in addition to the greens.

Cheers!

That's a good mix. I know kale has gotten a bad rep but it's recently been accepted as a feed occasionally green. I have one dragon that loves his greens but won't eat veggies either. I tend to think by offering a variety of leafy greens his nutritional needs are met.

Try smashing a little bit of fruit every few days. Then add a little bit of vegetable along with the fruit every few days. You can't make it made it but you might trick him to eating it

Watch the bag stuff because it goes bad fast!

I don't usually buy the bag stuff either for this reason but I found that if you take it out right away and rinse it off and dry it and put it in a ziploc bag with a paper towel it will last a bit longer.

Mine gets picky when I mix other things up in her salad. I get all excited if I found something new that she'll eat from my hand but then I mix it up in her greens and she won't touch any of it!

I'm part of the group that feels kale is definitely an occasional thing. I don't consider it a treat so I leave it out. All the other greens you listed are perfect for your dragon and really all she needs. Don't feel compelled to mix up or balance her diet; depending on your dragon's personality that can do more harm than good. Some have a little more anxiety than others when things change, even little bitty changes. :D

I feed my dragon acorn squash and collard/mustard/turnip greens almost exclusively, and she is in outstanding health. Once or twice a month I shred some carrots in there or give her a small amount of fruit like mango, papaya, or pineapple as a treat and she loves it. For protein she gets crickets, roaches, and superworms. When I can make the reptile convention she gets hornworms and sometimes waxworms as treats.

I buy a mix with this exact blend of veggies whenever I can't find fresher greens on the supermarket shelves or cannot get to a farmer's market on time. Basically I buy the bags out of desperation. The Kale in the blend doesn't bother me though, I'm not relying on bagged salad mixes for Moonpani's food; however, I would never rely on using the bagged salad with Kale because it should only be mixed in through moderation.
