Maya VS Greens

Maya has declared a war on her greens. She doesn't want them. She would rather eat her supers.

I gave her collards and then a mix of collards and turnips. She's still waging war on her greens. I tried to sneak her greens in to the supers. Also, I've tried hiding the supers and she waited for them to crawl up before eating them. BUT I gave the supers the turnip greens to eat and they ate them.

So I hid the supers in her greens and Zucchini Squash. She ate two pieces of greens and ate all the supers. She turned her head away from them. I swear she's at the stage now. "I don't want greens right now. I want supers!"

Welcome to the club! I hope for your sake she gets out of that phase. I'm going to try to limit Dexter's bugs to try to make her hungry for greens. It's going to be hard, I hate thinking she's starving but I know she won't. It's not even that she is scarfing down bugs, she just won't touch the salad.

Tomorrow I'm going to deconstruct her salad. I'm going to put mustards in one corner, dandelion in another and collards in another. Maybe if they aren't all together she will pick the one she likes and eat them!

I actually tried that. Did not work for Maya....I'd put them separately on the same dish, but not mixed. She ate the turnips and then mustards. I even tried that with Collards and Turnip Greens. No such luck. Picky little girl! She ran away from me, but she'll come out and sleep on me.

She goes to the bowl and makes the gulping motion like she's going to eat and she looks at it real good but then walks away from it.

She pooped today and had pink urates. I think this phase isn't a phase. She ate a little bit of greens, but will eat her supers more. I'm getting concerned. I have a pic of her fecals. Someone told me that she has a protozoal infection again. I can only guess she has another infection of Pinworms and Coccidia. I'm so frustrated because my money was tied into food bill. I even did a fundraiser for her bills.
