We have a male beardie and our friends have a female. We have always babysittted each other's lizards when going away and have never had a problem. Our male is much smaller than the female. He has tried to mate with her but is too small. This time he has been more aggresive and actually bit off some of the spikes on the back of he head/neck. She acts fine but the area above it is whitish and you can see a bit of red even. I have separated them but am worried about where he bit off the spikes. Any ideas for me?

Im new to beardies, so I don't know what to do about the spikes, but I would reccomend not keeping them together when babysitting anymore. Maybe have a peice of cardboard to seperate the vivarium if you have to? Because we don't want anyone's beardie getting hurt, or pregnant ::)

You can use reguar neosporin on the wound to keep it from getting infected.
