Pasty, I got the idea to start this thread after seeing your post on the awesome Book!

I'm going on maternity leave soon and need some new reading material. Anything on reptile care, history, evolution, folklore, etc. Preferably books, not just articles. I figured y'all are a great group to ask!

If anyone is interested in recommendations - I am currently reading 'Eye of Newt and Toe of Frog, Adder's Fork and Lizards Leg: the Lore and Mythology of Amphibians and Reptiles' which is excellent. Also 'The Frogs and Toads of North America: a Comprehensive Guide' is a good one. And I have been known to sit and read field guides because I'm a nerd. For fellow Texans, the 'Texas Natural History Guides' are definitely worth checking out.

I know you said books but i found some excellent reptile podcasts if you are busy doing something, plug in the headphones and check out these:
Reptile Radio Australia : episode from 10/1/13 "Bearded Dragons Galore" a 2 hr. interview with zoology student and dragon breeder Laura Abby

Past Time: a podcast about dinosaurs and the evolution and early appearance of reptiles/amphibians recorded by 2 aspiring paleontologists

Reptile Living Room: focuses on all reptiles and conservation

I would love to read a good book but i drive all day so these get me through my days and i've learned alot
