That is way too funny. I get Spike every now and then but I sure don't trust him. He sits still for about 10 minutes then he wants to run!! hehehe :D

Being a typical youngster Pat ;) . They seem to know when your attention is elsewhere & they're gone.

Probably nothing wrong....is he getting ready to shed? It seems when they are in the shedding process all of their habits change and that causes us to worry.... Spike did a shed on me and I didn't even know it....no signs but every beardie is different....just like us!!

If your husbandry is up to par & all the right choices are being provided, they know better than we do what they need at any given time. He is coming into his adult stage, won't be growing as much anymore, won't need as much protein or nourishment for that matter. His diet is going to change. You could start only feeding Prey every second day, after a few more months, down to 2-3 times a week.

While unlikely, there is also the possibility that it may be slowing down to go into Brumation.

do you think i should keep his basking light between 105 to 110 or should i change to the adult sitting or wait until he is a year old right i don't see him sitting under the basking much unless sometimes when the light is warming up goes up to 103 he will sitt under it then

Awww what an adorable picture! I noticed my beardie acts different when he's shedding too! Before I learned that fact I automatically panicked whenever he would hide. I still get nervous when he does that because I'm always afraid something else is wrong. I am still a rather new Mommy to my beardie, so once I start recognizing the signs that he's about to shed I'll calm down...I am very overprotective of Baby and only wants whats best!!!:)
