Lintilla didn't make it... :(

After a couple of months of weird ups and downs and still not actually growing, she succumbed to whatever was ailing her overnight. Poor little girl never really had a chance, I guess.

I'm now under orders to NOT go to our new nearby reptile store, even though we need rats for our little ball python. I guess I'm not to be trusted. ;)

As awful as it might sound, I'm actually relieved that it's over for her. Not because I wanted her to die, but at least now whatever was bothering her isn't anymore. Wish we'd gotten the chance to know her, though. She never really stopped being afraid of us, the poor girl.

So sorry :( I understand completely. When our leos died I was sad but also happy that they weren't suffering anymore.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your beardie. It's always sad to lose a pet, no matter what it is, and whether you see it coming or not. I'm wondering how long you'll be able to resist making a trip to the new rep store near you. I can only say Thank God there's not a reptiles store near me! I doubt I'd have the willpower I would need.

There's a reptile store a couple of blocks away from me. Where I got Lintilla, actually. I lasted until that afternoon. Zaphod has already proven to be a much better eater and has gained two grams. I was a little worried because he seemed lethargic and uninterested in food for the first couple of days, but he has gotten over that. He's still suspicious of us, though.

OMG what a cutie!!!! Zaphod is adorable! They look soo funny when they are that little lol I love the coloring and markings!! Just needed a little adjustment time.... But now the growing phase!! As my Izzy has been growing up I have been weighing her and OMG her weight gain was amazing!!! I've had her since 9/29/15 she was about 25g and she is now 157g and 14.5"!!!

Enjoy the little one and look forward to seeing Zaphod grow!

Yeah, we were amused by pattern on his back being different than on his tail. Looks like someone glued another dragon's tail onto him.

He also went full on pig today. Many dubia gave their lives for his tubby tummy. He's definitely doing better than Lintilla was.
