I am in the process of building our viv setup with my son. We went out to the local pest shop to see what they had for fixtures for the UVB bulb. All they carry are aquarium tops starting at 60 bucks. I did a quick search and I found a product on Amazon called Sunblaster by Nanotech the downside it appears that they only accept T5 bulbs. My questions are for those that built their own vivs' what did you use? Do they make a T5 UVB bulb? And finally our set up is 48"x24"x24" what length bulb would you recommend.

I'm not too familiar with that brand, but I would recommend browsing at www.drsfostersmith.com at their reptile lighting/heating products. T5 UVB bulbs are available, but it seems to me that T8 are easier to find. drsfostersmith.com has at least 2 brands of fixtures that will work - ZooMed and Zilla. ZooMed are the most popular, as they are the makers of the popular "ReptiSun" and "ReptiGlo" series products. Good bulbs! Zilla has a fixture that works great, even with other brand bulbs, yet it costs a lot less.
