Hey guys need a little bit of help I just got a t5 with and 10.0 UVB bulb and put it about 8 to 10 inches away as advised and the first day he loved it had alot of energy running around the next day eh and today he was still laying there like he was trying to sleep turned on the uvb and boom wanted to go under his log it could've been one side was too hit and I pick him up he will move but he just wants to lay on his hammock and not really move. Is this because it's getting colder and he's just slowing down are is it too much uvb and he don't like it

I checked with a digital probe and basking ranges between 95 to 100 and the screen is a wide hole and it's right next to the basking bulb

Ok so now we need to check the basking bulb----------- when you turn the lights on are you turning both the UVB and basking bulb at the same time? T 5 bulbs are easy on the eyes so w / the screen and correct distance I am thinking its the basking bulb --- is it a CLEAR bright white bulb NO off white NO yellowish bulb NO neodymium bulbs they have a coating on them that is not good for the eyes

When I turn on basking uvb gets turned on right after and I believe it's a clear white but he sits kinda close and the hammock stretches threw the whole tank

How close? Should not be closer than 6 inches

The basking or uvb cause the pet shop I got him from said he could be as close to the basking as he wanted
You don't want to burn the dragon more bad advice from the pet store --- please raise it or lower the basking decor if it's closer than 6 inches- something is off if he's hiding from the lights- uvb is good I am thinking it's the basking bulb - please post what your using

Give me a minute and I'll take a picture of my cage and everything he has before I move anything

How's your dragon?
Even when I lowered the hammock to 6 inches on basking side he still wanted to hide in his log so I changed the basking bulb to a 75 watt to see if he would like that better and he started moving and wanting more bugs he had like 4 supers and like 5 crickets today and possibly some greens that or he threw them all over the cage so I guess it's a wait and see
