The title is sarcasm. I need somewhere to vent.
Long story short, we are evicted from our apartment.
Now for the long story:
A few days ago, my sister received a call from her boyfriend. My sister and I were out of the city visiting my mom, and my sister's boyfriend was at home. Anyway, the call was that our caretaker found out that were were keeping crickets, of course to feed the lizards. The caretaker came in our apartment and Cory (my sister's boyfriend) showed him where we kept the crickets. Of course, the crickets are kept in my room where most of my reptiles are. So the caretaker obviously saw the beardies, and said they need to go within 5 days or we're evicted. Luckily he didn't see my other reptiles (a gecko and a snake), as they are small and kind of hidden.
I was pretty heartbroken with this, as my beardies are like my children. I have that bond with them. It's impossible to describe. Regardless, they have to go or we don't have a place to live. I made arrangements and my dad will care for them temporarily. So, at least they're not totally gone from my life. And they were transferred today. :'(
Now, things just got worse. We received a letter today from the property owner saying that we broke the rules and all that stuff, and that we have a month to get out of here. If anyone remembers my thread back from a few months ago about my beardies that had to move from my other apartment - well I'll say it again -....this is really stupid. Why? Because my caretakers said it was OKAY to have my beardies in the first place. If I wasn't able to keep them, I wouldn't have got them in the first place. But I guess another reason why we have to leave is because of the crickets getting into other people's apartments. Stupid crickets!! They're so sneaky and escape from the bin.
Now for the next few weeks, I'll be busy packing........................................ Yay.
