Letting your dragons interact...?

So we let Trillian and Fenchurch (2 females) out together. After some headbobbing and waving, Trillian charged at Fenchurch and they wrestled a bit, with Trillian clamping down on the top of Fenchurch's head. We separated them (no injuries), but how far should we be letting them go with each other? Is it like letting dogs settle their pecking order?

Trillian was very, very much on edge until I put her back.

After that, we let Arthur out to interact with Fenchurch, and they did the same thing, but he made his intentions known VERY quickly and we had to break it up because we're not remotely ready to deal with eggs and babies.

The fat little bastard apparently resented me pulling him off Fenchurch's back because he jumped up and bit my chin. WTF?

I always separate them before it goes to far. They were fine when Luci was younger but his hormones kicked in and it was over. He did the whole head Bob thing and then charged her scratching a few scales off her back and trying to bite her head. Now I sit on the floor with her and guard her. If he gets to close I pick her up or cover her. He sees her but hasn't head bobbed in awhile.

You shouldnt let yours interact. All I see is one getting hurt, killed, or prego
That's been my line of thinking. We might breed one day, but that ain't today. It also seems that we can't let the dragons even see each other, otherwise it'll be endless glass surfing, black beards, head bobbing, etc.

We really need to get our living room rearranged...

If you want to break these habits you need to place them both on your chest and have them hold on, if they try to fight it means they don't respect that the other dragon is part of you. Do this daily for a month and you shouldnt have future problems.

Mine are housed one on top of the other. I think that really helps because they don't see each other all day. Dexter knows Luci is under her because hell, the neighbors know Luci is there he is so freakin noisy, but she doesn't see him and get stressed out. When I do have them out at the same time it's hit or miss. Right now both are real sleepy so sone is on the back of the couch and the other is on a chair and they are just fine.

Well, Fenchurch is housed on top of Arthur. Trillian is going to be on top of a currently empty tank.

I guess we just need to get them all on the same wall.
