Let it Snow

As those of us on the northern east side are getting dumped on, we wanted to send a note to all our members out there. We hope that you are faring well. You are all in our thoughts.

The grocery store in our area was out of meats the day before the snow was due to arrive. We are holding strong and depleting our freezer stash. Creativity is key with this one.

We have received about 23 inches so far. KAJA has shoveled twice and will be out again today and tomorrow.

3 x. I live on a very narrow street in Philadelphia so in addition to my walk we have to shovel our street in order to get out. Is it spring yet???

Tom, I hope you have recovered. Looks like we may be getting more tomorrow.
Hubby finished the driveway tonight. Don't know where another 20 inches will fit. I'd estimate that we got 30 this past time around. And that was on top of 6 inches from the previous Saturday. Augh!

The storm has already started to come through WI. We had misting rain starting around 9 pm that was of course blowing snow by 10 pm when I was driving home! Predicted to continue all through tomorrow until Wed A.M. and anywhere from 7 to 14 inches, last I heard! YUCK! I fully expect us to have to push my truck out of the parking area tomorrow! (The plow guy who does the drive/parking areas takes his time about getting here!-can't complain too much, at least I don't have to shovel this crap!) I feel for you all who are shoveling foot after foot of this stuff! I hope everyones backs hold out!

BTW, blame Lance! He's the one claiming to be doing the snow dance! (I already told him to knock it off! ) He just wants to go play in the snow with his jeep!

Snow??? what Snow ??? I'm in the middle of a mini heat wave . Its been at least 30oC now for the past two weeks with a few days nudging the 40oC . But seriously i feel bad for you guys stuck in the dreary cold with the dragons all asleep .

Janie, at least this time our temps stayed above 25F!!! The last big snow storm that really dumped on us came with 5F-15F temps! We've gotten well close to a foot and it's supposed to continue through the night and off and on tomorrow! I HATE WINTER!!! Yuck!

But for 3-4 days out of the year. .temps stay above those 20's... I'm with Francis though.. Heat Wave ! lol

We have had recod snow here this year. The kids have missed so many days of school there is talk here about maybe making them go to school on Saturdays. I was stuck in my drive way for a week,unable to get out to go anywhere. Mark got out to go to work,but I stayed home with Timmy. Felt good to be out for a spell,then then snow hit again.Put it this way,there has been snow in my yard since Christmas all except maybe 5 days. We don't get much snow in our yard and so snow doesn't melt here like it does other places.The joke here is "You guys have to pipe in sunshine don't you?"

I live in "what is called" the high desert here in Oregon. We usually have snow then it is sunny. I think you guys got my snow and we got California's rain. Gloomy.... I am so ready for the spring. Used to live in Virginia and by Chicago. So sorry for all of you that have to shovel and No Meat. That's got to be hard.
