its been a while since ive been on but just recently acquired two small leopard geckso and was wondering if anyone who has ever used vita-sand has ever personally had any problems with it...i know reptile carpets better but its annoying to clean(i dont mind but aside from being dirty it just plain starts to smell after a while.)...so whats everyones take on zoomeds vita sand?ive seen them lick it from time to time but thats about it.also...if a gecko has a longer larger head as a baby is it more likely to be a male or female or is that just a random genetic trait?ive looked and know its easy to sex adults but just wanna make sure i dont have two males bc as with any lizards theyve got something to prove and will fight if they havent eventually.now theyre fine but itd be nice to have a heads up

I'm not sure on the head size thing but I personally wouldn't use the sand. I'd go with something they can't ingest. You know the whole fear of impaction thing. You could probably avoid it but I'd just as soon not deal with it and not have to worry about it...
