Leaving babies alone

I got 2 baby bearded dragons a week ago. They seem to be doing fine eAting crickets twice a day and veggies. I have to go out of town on tues morn and won't be back till thurs night. Can these guys go a couple days with just veggies and meal worms? I don't like to leave crickets in their tank.

I wouldn't recommend mealworms, they have 3 layers of hard shell that can impact your beardies easily.
Are your lights automatic?

Maybe try hopper (locus ) thay wot i give Diego n he loves them

I was actually wondering the same thing, as I'm going on vaca for a few days. I have a trustworthy friend to come in and check on them. Won't deal with the roaches though. My main concern about leaving a bunch of bugs, is that he'll eat them all right up. Nacho doesn't seem to have any self control with his food.

Yeh i really dnt like crickets at all so i dnt feed Diego them. He get size 4 locus. They not as horrible lookin as crickets and they dnt bite so u xan leave them in altho they dnt last very long wen Diego is conserned. Im goin on holiday in a few month but the ppace where we got Diego from does beardie sitting wen you go away anywhere. So think we gunna put him there so at least we know he well looked after while we not tuere

Yeah don't leave crickets in the cage.they will actually eat on your dragons or any other animals in the cage

Yeah, this is one thing that we don't think about before we get them! Last year my boyfriend and his family went away for 4 days around the 4th of July, I had nobody to take care of Dexter or my frogs so I stayed home alone .

Awww, story of my life pasty. My boyfriend and I have a camp, and I can seldom go for more than one night. I rescue and foster animals, so I've got some problem children who can't go with us. They're worth it, But it does suck sometimes.
