She is much easier to care for than the veiled we had. It would be easier for you to look up the difference. Her cage doesnt need to be screened. She will drink water....Hunts pretty well for herself. There are many differences....I guess you could look them up? Sorry, hard to think today. My grandma died this morning..
Thank you all. Leaf is a bit lower maintenance...Mike use to be the care taker of the "family" until the veiled died. From dehydration. Heart breaking to say the least. I then offered. He works about 70 hours a week...loves our babies..just was too busy. We don't live together and I usually was only here on the weekends. Now I come daily to clean, feed, hydrate, etc...I am just learning...The little chameleon is much more social then the veiled was. She will come right to me...Just a little sweetie.
Nice Chameleon. Chameleons are one of my favorite species.
Dehydration happens with Veilds because of the screen enclosure. Its impossible to keep the humidity constant and you have to mist a couple times a day. People use all screen enclosures, because screen top fish tanks dehydrate them even faster. Veilds are very easy once you build an enclosure with limited air movement.
I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. My thoughts are with you and your family.
