Just want to be sure if that's normal. Got almost 5 month old female but she isn't much active to be fair . For last two weeks she likes to lay down next to her hideout and stay there till evening. She's eating and shedding but just want to be sure if that's normal. Basking spot got around 38-40*C . Overall Temperature is around 35*C and 28*C cold spot .

It looks like shes hiding from her lights-- are you using a colored bulb in the tank? Please post pics of the tank and lighting - she should be basking at least 4 hrs of the day -- the loose substrate please get rid of it - as babies they lick everything and are very clumsy eaters and will ingest stuff you dont want them too causing impaction - you can use some slated textured tile something not too course --- or textured NON adhesive shelf liner -- both from home improvement stores - or repti carpet - its a pain to keep clean and can get expensive --- Basking are good as long as your taking them w/ a digital probe thermometer NO stick ons they are inaccurate and I am seeing a stick on

Shes basking since 8am till 3pm and then staying in her spot. Its not exactly loose substrate. Its a clay there's some dry extra particles but still clay. Using MVB and infrared thermometer for extra measures.

Ok the MVB what brand and wattage and distance from basking spot - it sounds like it may be just her -- and I am not sure where you are but the weather can have something to do w/ it --- some of the MVB's do not put out enough UVB and often times its good to supplement another long tube fixture like a T 5 or a T 8 Arcadia bulb or Reptisun and w/ a reflector in the fixture for adequate UVB -- you might want to invest in a digital probe thermometer as well - sometimes IR guns can not give proper temps w/ some materials for basking decor etc... so its good to have those on hand as well --- they are fairly cheap --

MVB - Reptispa 100W . I'm using digital thermometer but just in one spot ( next to her cave) . Bulb is 30cm above basking spot.

Got two tanks and two bearded dragons . This one from top is more active
Ok are the dragons tanks set up the same? I have two as well they both have been semi lazy - I am in the states so the weather here is changing - they are both still eating and basking for the most part but do have lazy days as well - one is 2 1/2 yrs old the other around 14-15 months old --

I am not sure about that MVB I have never heard of it -- I know the Mega Ray and the Solar Glo are supposed to be good - so the out put of the UVB on that one your using I am unfamiliar w/ -- but we also recommend an extra UVB just so they are getting adequate UVB --- I can inquire about that bulb and see what some very experienced people can give advise on it

Is it possible your beardie has started brumating? Brumation is common during the fall, so that might explain the "lazy" behavior.

IKR! I saw that. Admit I did a double take when I saw the little baby up top . . . and did the whole "What the . . . how'd it get up there?" Then realized it must be multi-leveled. hahaha That's a very sweet set up!

Not sure why she's hanging out there, but it does look like myabe she's shading herself. My guy only tends to go into his hidey when he gets hot.

Actually she's totally fine. She was literally lazy. She likes that spot - got still uvb and uva. After I've blocked her little cave she's back on her basking spot.
