Sammy is about 8-9 months old now. She seems very happy and healthy and has gotten so big. She’s my first dragon and really the only time I’ve ever interacted with one. I see others post about how their dragon loves to explore and is so full of personality. Sammy of course has her own unique personality. But she’s very laid back. She’s in the main room with us. I take her out all the time and she’s very comfortable and feels safe around me from what I can tell. She really only likes for me to hold her. Anyways, she doesn’t really like coming out of her enclosure. When I pull her out she will run up to the top of the couch, walk back and forth a few times and then snuggle behind the cushion to go to sleep. Then I end up putting her in my sweater. Just tonight I tried letting her run around on the bed and she wasn’t having that and got weird and tried to run. I grabbed her and put her in my sweater and she immediately calms down and snuggles in and falls asleep. Is this just her personality? She would rather be in her tank or snuggled up but not running out? Maybe just feels safer that way for her? I guess I’m just curious if anyone has a dragon like that. Sweetest little thing. But can’t help but wonder if she should be getting more in the way of enrichment. But unsure how to offer if she just likes to be laid back.
