Hi all.
Just got my baby back from the reptile vet.
She 1.
Took fecal sample to check for parasites. (my little guy provided a fresh one on the way there. The lab was closed so we won’t know the results until next week.
2: she checked for external parasites, full health check, Doppler examination for heartbeat and maybe digestion.
I got questioned thoroughly on his enclosure and given a sample of a “reptile carpet” that to me looks like thick plastic shelf liner, really smooth but bubbly but not as big bubbles as bubble wrap, more like textured.
She’s leaning on my little guy being a boy, but not 100%.
Felt he was very healthy otherwise. Good body condition. Very nice temperament. And weighed 23.7 grams.
Too small for any blood work.
She suggested I keep track of his weight (in grams and submit on his pet page on line every few weeks until his next appointment.
The trip was just over 90 minutes each way, aside from checking on the temp every 10 min or so, (it stayed in the 80’s) we kept it covered so he was in the dark. He seemed ok.
He ran to his basking spot and just chilled, didn’t just or hide. and was right back jumping into my hand the next morning for his crickets
So that’s the story.
I know I’m long winded. Can’t help it. I’ve always talked to much. Hahaha
