I wanted to post an update on my new dragon Moe . Ive had im for about a month now. He has become comfortable with his 40gallon tank and loves to chase down crickets and its a joy to watch him eat his vegtables. He loves carrot shavings but i have heard they should"nt be feed too often because of the vitamin A they contain .> I have been learning about managing the crickets and have purchased a plastic bin which i keep in the garage.I then bring his daily crickets in a smaller container to feed him each day. that has been working out well. My fist shipment was 500 but now i will move up to 1000 crickets. i made a mistake with them as i do feed them greens and some orange cricket cubes. I did pour just a small amount of water in the tub for them and was shocked to find that many had drowned. Wouldnt they just climb out it ? (What do they do in a rain storm outside) ?? I will now use water crystals
Moe seems to take baths well.i keep them pretty short about 10 min .The baths dont havent made him poop on the spot so far.he poops about twice per day and goes right to the same part of the tank everyday for that.

I have been wanting to place him on my chest arm or shoulder but have concerns he him jump off and go under a desk or a bed where i cant reach him . I brought him into the bathroom thats a safe area to try this. he clinged onto me well and it felt good that i could let go of him .This was a milstone for me lol im sure its not big deal for you other owners :) I will try to let Moe perch on my arm every day. That would be really cool if he can be comfortable doing that i also want him to hang out on my computer table next to me . i guess the sooner the better to let him get over any fears he has. I really enjoy having him around.

That's great to hear that he is doing well. Yea carrots can lead to vit A toxicity when fed A lot. Check out the links in the general info there are 2 good sites we use for good items and how often they should be fed. Yea crickets will easily drown lol so the crystals are best.
Some dragons will poop in the bath mine will only go in the sink. She likes about 20-30 min soaks.
Just takes time getting them used to hanging on you, I take Izzy out as much as I can since she was small. I usually have a hand lightly over her in case she moves or looses her grip. She loves hanging out with me

Sounds like you doing great with him!

Crickets seem to drown in a drop of water. I shred cucumber over my Hefs greens he loves it. I use water crystals for the crickets. I just learned that crickets can eat through screen. I made a bin and put screen for ventilation and they cut some holes in it. Fortunately that bin is in a bigger bin so I caught the escappees. Dragons love affection normally so I think your guy will be comfy in no time.
