My sister was being nice and took both the kids for me. She brought them home early and she looked ready to cry. Jordan throw the Wii controller and broke her 50 inch Plasma TV that she has had for less then a week. Now I get to go buy my sister a new TV.

Yikes! What else can go wrong for you?

On the one note, I know they can move quickly, but how was your sis watching them to let the controller get thrown at the TV? Hmm? Food for thought. ::)

she was in the kitchen and he walked into the living room and before she could get to him he through the controller. We agreed to split the cost of the TV b/c she should not have let him play with the controller but he is the one who broke it.

On the plus side, she called Best Buy and they said if warranty does not cover it, and it might because of the Black Tie warranty she got then she can return it broken or not and just pay a restocking fee of about $100-150. We will split the restocking fee if it comes to that.

And you ask what more can happen...Jordan now has MRSA. Not the bad on that kills people, but the common one found is schools and gyms also know as community MRSA. We are not sure where it came from, could have been mine or Chris's workplace or McKenzie's daycare when she went. Chris and I were treated it about 3 yrs ago and have not had it since. For the past 2.5 years Kenz has had an abscess 2-3 times a year. Until Jordan had one pop up we thought it was gone since Kenz has not had one in almost a year. Jordan's did drain on its own and is gone now but he is still on antibiotics and yet another round of bleach and wash EVERYTHING is in place. Everything has to be washed and what can be bleached must be bleached everyday for the next 14 days. Not an easy task when recovering from a kidney infections that required 3 trips to the hospital, 2 medication adjustments and 2 IV antibiotic treatments. I am feeling much better and still waiting to get into the specialist for my eyes. I am also still waiting on insurance to approve the eye drops the doctor wants me to use.

All and all...things are getting much better, slowly but better.

I got that after my first back surgery, Sandra. They put me on some heavy duty antibiotics for a bit and all was okay.

Oh, here's keeping fingers crossed that it falls under the Black Tie warranty! 50 bucks is a lot better than 500!

Janie, thanks. I was going to look it up, but you did the work for me! Sandra, that stinks. Hope all gets well soon. That bleach cleaning sucks. My sis-in-law has had to do it too. Her mom contracted C-Diff while in the hospital. She recovered at Jodi's and all had to be cleaned daily to kill the bacteria.

Hang in there. Clearer skies have to be around the corner.

The other MRSA she is talking about is bad. A near death sentence in an Old Folks home. Used to be a seamstress in one. They'd send them to the hospital and some would come back with it and that would be it after a time. :(

We have been dealing with it for 3 years now so I am not stressing about it, just feel bad b/c I know how much those things hurt. I am hoping it does not come back but if it does we will just go get another round of antibiotics and do daily bleachings. We also have tons of the typical ointment, so if I see any spots that look like MRSA then they get some ointment. most times it gets rid of the spot in one a day or two and needs no further treatment. This is no longer a scary thing in this house b/c we know how fast it clears up, now it is just to the point of annoying.

Little fact: MRSA is harder to get rid of in kids that wear diapers b/c at night when they are sleeping and peeing. the pee just sits on them and breaks down the skin allowing the staph to get under the skin causing an abscess.

Staph huh ? Yes I looked that up... Hope all gets better !

Jordan is already better, just have to keep up all the cleaning and the washer is getting a major work out since everything has to be washed daily.
