The screen to my enclosure let loose under the kitten. All told, 2 dragons escaped unharmed (yay), one was only bitten - how the marks are, she was just picked up by the kitten nothing else, unfortunately the 4th one has a broken back and is paralyzed in the hind legs and cannot right herself if she tips onto her side or back and has a very low strength.

If the 4th one is still living after work today, I"ll end up taking her to the reptile store in hopes they can train her to be hand fed and survive.

yesterday was a very sad day :(

On the plus side it is possible to replace the screen on terrarium tops. they have 4 aluminium compresses that come out with a fork and a little applied pressure. I used non-coated aluminium screen from home depot to replace the old stuff. it just seemed there wasn't enough screen for the compresses to get a tight hold of the screen. I put a good 10 - 20 lbs force on the new screen and it was able to hold tight

Yes. Sad. Have you re-inforced the screen to support weight of cat? Im thinkin metal strips?

The cat is kept in her kennel if no one is able to watch her for the time being. This coming weekend I was going to make a new top using 1x2 and 1x3 lumber and screening to fit the tank.

I would say the injured dragon stands a better chance.with a foster home than a pet shop. It will surely die. They don't take time to rehabilitate them. I hope the baby is ok :(

The shop has other pets they hand feed out of necessity (blind or near blind), but I already called them they said no to the beardie, because its injured not sick. Thanks for the advice, maxdout.

By the time i got home from work yesterday, the paralyzed beardie had passed. ... At lease she isnt in pain or suffering anymore. :(

After spending about a full day in her kennel (except for eating, drinking, and using her litter) the cat hasnt touched the cage yet.

:(....So sorry for your loss. You're right though, at least no suffering.

I would keep the cat away from them from here on out. You can't trust her. I wouldn't trust her alone nor would I trust her at all. I keep my beardie out of reach. Cats are known as hunters. They'll catch and kill anything that moves.

Sorry about the baby.

Oh, so sorry :( At least the little one didn't suffer too long. I'm really at a loss as to what to do about the mesh. When my cat gets real rowdy around Luci's tank, I know it's not attractive but I put tape right side up around the edges so she won't jump on it. She quickly gets the point.

This is how cats should act all the time!

My kitten would start there then find space on the wire shelf then jump on top of the tank. nice set up though, gives me ideas how I want mine eventually. Getting a 55gal tank and stand today from petco (love that sale) hopefully the screen top from zilla is stronger than the sliding screen lid from their critter cages.

5 minutes after this picture I found her on top of the frog tank! She's been unbelievably bad today. I ended up putting tape all over to stop her from jumping!
