Is walnut wood okay for decor?

I can’t find any info online as to whether branches fallen off a walnut tree would be harmful for my little guy. I’m in Victoria, and I believe the trees are specifically black walnut but I can’t be sure. A bunch of smaller branches have come off a tree near my house in the recent storms and winds, and they’d be perfect for Kiwi’s enclosure but I don’t want to risk it if they have any toxic properties.

I am not sure about the solid wood itself - I know crushed walnut shells should never be used - dust issue - let me ask some other people and see what they think

ok they got back w/ me and this is what they have said
I don't know for certain but I'm under the impression that as long as it isn't seeping any sap most woods are fine.
As far as me I personally would not use it just on the air of caution - but that is just me -

Okay thank you so much! I think I won’t use it just in case, because there’s so little info on it
