Relatively new beardie, his tail was like this when I got him. Is it tail rot, and if so what can I do to help him?

Not sure. The little dent at the end is odd. My beardie's tail is a little darker than the rest of him so it might just be his natural coloring. If the scales all like normal I'd just keep an eye on it. Hoping an expert will jump in and provide some help on what to do if it is tail rot. Sorry I'm not more help.

It looks like it got nipped or pinched -- and the end looks dry --- you need to keep an eye on it -you can soak the tail in some betadine bath solution make it look like tea-- and get some raw unpasteurized honey and put on it w/ a cotton swab or dip it in the honey - something like Manuka honey or from a organic store make sure there are NO crickets in the tank they will go straight for that tail - watch for infection in the tail if it starts to creep up the tail you will need to go to the vet - if the end falls off keep soaking in the honey till it scabs over it will kill the infection
