So my partner has gone away for work for 3 months and left me with his bearded dragon. The dragon seemed lethargic and was avoiding his lights, his bearded seemed permanently black and he also wasn't digesting veg properly. So I did my research and found that the heat / lighting wasn't where it should be. I have incrementally swapped bulbs etc. until it is all within the correct temperature ranges (basking spot 43 degrees centigrade, cool end 24 degrees C) and now I have a seemingly happy bearded dragon (he has a couple patches of stuck shed but nothing else seems amiss - I am bathing him and have a soft toothbrush coming to help with that) however, since I have made these adjustments, he has taken to basking with the soles of his front feet pointing up, he brings them up under him in reaction to me opening the glass, and he climbs up/down from his basking spot several times a day so I doubt there is a mobility issue. He mainly does it when he is 'basking' in the warm zone. Is this him being chilled? The only thing I haven't checked is the UV levels, as I don't have the kit for that, but all his bulbs are < 5 weeks old.
