Ok, I am new to beardies, but wanted one since I was younger and had an iguana.
I have recently adopted two beardies from my cousin and I dont know the sex yet (she didnt know either). I am thinking one is male(Harley, right) and the other is female (Bob, left).

Basically, I am wondering if its possible that Bob is pregnant. "She" really only eats crickets, and stops at around 10-12 Large, doesnt drink much the past few days, spends a lot of time in the rock cave, and has been digging in the cave. The digging only takes place for a few minutes then she just sits for a while. "She" digs a few times a day though, and only leaves the cave one or two times a day.

I may just be a nervous newbie, but I am definitely not ready for baby beardies.

Well – it is possible. Get her a large bowl of moist sand to dig in. If she lays, the eggs may or may not be fertile. You may or may not have babies. If you do not want babies the embryos will need to be euthanized. There isn't a nice way to say that. Babies take a lot of care. It's good of you to know that you're not ready.

Sorry, after reading my original post again this morning, I didn't really ask the question I was trying to ask. I guess what I was trying to ask is, how would I be able to tell if "she" is pregnant?

I have read a few posts on here and a lot of them seem to be about digging, but not much in the way of behaviors before the digging or physical changes (girth, weight, or even eating habits).
I hope this clarifies my question.

I had Bob out of the tank today and felt "her" belly, it felt soft and smooth. I didn't feel anything that felt like eggs. "She" might just be a fatty.

If anyone has any other input, please, post up. The more info the better.
