Hello,

It's newbies Chuck parents again. Now that we've correct the potty problem Chuck appears to be very hungry all the time. I know that several people have mentioned that they can eat a lot, but yesterday chuck ate about 8 to 10 crickets and today well since he's pooped twice all he wants to do is eat. He has the cutest little hungry dance. He knows what the cricket habitat looks like so when he see it on the side of his habitat he tapes the glass and runs back and forth it's really cute. Today he has eaten 35 crickets and some salad. I was getting ready to turn out his light tonight and he did the hungry dance and of course I couldn't say no so we feed him more and had to wait another hour to turn out his light. Are we spoiling him or should we just feed him when he's hungry?

I really appreciate all the help, it's so nice to have a place to go to get info,
Chuck's mommy

you should leave a salad available to him all day and only do 3 live feedings. as many as he can eat in 15 minutes. 1 feeding an hour or so after his lights turn on, 1 mid day, and 1 in the evening. Leave a salad available at all times cause if he gets hungry he may nibble at it and or eat it. This will get him into the habit of eating his veggies

Thanks again, We were only putting salad down in the middle of the day for about 4 hours and than picking it up, but I will make it available all day for him today and see if that helps him be less hungry at night. We are trying to get him on a regular eating and sleeping schedule, so thanks again for the help :)

Thanks, Brian.

It sounds like Chuck is getting back on course and is feeling comfy with his new bearded dragon slaves. His appetite picking up is a good thing. Babies as young as Chuck can eat anywhere from 50 to 100 crickets a day. So, with the lighting situation solved, a few good poops, and feeling acclimated, Chuck is making himself at home.

now you just have to wait until chuck "makes himself at home" on your hand or shirt or shoulder lol. Everyone gets it at least once. I got pooped on my dr. evil back when he was a itty bitty baby (he is 22 inches now) and it was so gross lol.

Thanks to everyone :) :) I am glad there is a forum and I'm glad there are so many nice helpful people. There is so much conflicting info out there it's really nice to have a place where you can talk to people who are doing, using the info. So thanks again. As for Chuck we are so happy to see him eating and pooping it looks like with your help we've been able to make him pretty happy. :) :) :)

And I'm sure he will poop on all of us at least once.... He's own special gift. ;D
