Hi all!
My name is Julie (akaJules) and after many years without a beloved Bearded Dragon, we are now owned by Copper, a beautiful "Red Rainbow Italian Leatherback" we adopted/purchased from the Sacramento Reptile Show on September 28th, 2014, from breeder Greathouse Farm of Long Beach, CA. We used to have a Bearded Dragon named Max about 20-ish years ago, and he passed away when he was about 10 years old. We adopted/purchased him from a local reptile store where we used to live in Southern California. It's interesting how much more information is known about these adorable pets since the last time we had one.
My little guy is now four months old, eating Dubia Roaches twice daily, and some greens occasionally. Both Copper and I prefer the roaches to crickets or worms. I'm charting his length and weight on a spreadsheet and he's growing so fast! Per the breeder's suggestion, I'm using vinyl flooring on his cage floor and find that it is super easy to clean. And since my dad is a flooring contractor, I have PLENTY more to replace weekly if I want to.
I'm going to browse through the forum posts as I'd like to see what others are doing for food and enclosures, and love looking at other's pictures of their beloved pets.
