Insect feeding and removal methods

What are folks' methods for feeding and removing leftover insects? It may seem obvious, but last time I had a beardie the crickets would stuff themselves into every nook and cranny of the tank decor and I had a hell of a time getting them out. I ended up removing literally everything from the tank to feed him, then vacuumed the leftovers out and returned them to their tote before putting everything back.

Crickets are horrible for hiding - if feeding count how many you put in and see how many he eats you can always feed in a tote - I recommend dubia roaches

Feeding in a tote is definitely a consideration. I was thinking of setting up a kiddie pool or something, actually, so it'll have room to hunt more properly.

IDK if I can handle roaches. Do they not hide, though?

No and they don't bite like crickets and they don't stink like crickets or escape artists
