Hi I was currently trying to find out info on providing feeders insects to zoo, rescues and pet stores. For some market research I was wondering how many feeders does a pet stores ,zoos and reptile breeders consume a week/month? I understand when talking about wholesale where talking about huge numbers but I was looking for an estimate of how huge
-thanks!

It depends on the species, number of individuals, age of the individuals, and diversity of the insects being fed.

My small juvenile bearded dragon can go through 500 small dubia roaches a month. My adult gets 100 to 150 large a month. 1 juvenile Leopard gecko can go through 100 or more mealworms a month, however, they can also eat crickets and roaches. Mine actually seem to prefer roaches.

If you are the sole supplier, make as much as you can. If you have extra that you don't need, send some extra items along with orders as a thank you for their business. It will keep your customers coming back to you, and will help you better control your overstock feeders.

My juvenile beardie is currently going though 100 large crickets every 2-3 days from the local pet store. He's eating a good bit of salad and fruit everyday as well.

Other than the crickets, should we be giving him other types of live insects? Types and amounts?

Dubia roaches, black soldier fly larvae (BSFL), and silkworms are all great staple insects. Dubia roaches have 5 to 7 times the nutrition of crickets, and are the main insect that I use. BSFL are great because of their high calcium content. It's good to give a variety of feeders for a more well rounded diet. They don't just eat one type of insect in the wild, but a whole plethora of them.
