Injury from retained shedding?

Hi all,

My bearded dragon, Axe, seems to have an injury that looks like stuck shedding. I have attached pictures, the spot in question is right in front of her right eye on the top of her head.

Is there anything I can do to help her out other than soaking in warm water?

The next step from here is bringing her to a vet, I'm just not sure if this is something I would need to bring her in for, or if I can take care of her.

It doesn't quite look like stuck shed. Maybe an injury from rubbing during shed?.? My guy has 2 spots on his neck from his last shed where he rubbed his new scales off with the shed. I saw a little piece of new scale stuck on the shed right after he was rubbing on his log. Looks like a vampire got ahold of him as you can see in my profile pic. lol

hi barb, looking at it again it does look like the new scale is missing. she did just finish shedding so that would make sense if thats what the issue is. do you think this could be an issue or should I just let her regrow it and heep an eye on it?

He shouldn't be missing a scale after shedding.
The scales grow underneath, then they shed the extra scales off.
You might have an even different problem than stuck shed.
If the scale is actually missing, s/he might have torn it off.

Can u touch this area on her does she react negatively? It looks different from the first picture to the last can u take new picture? Order a product called “betadine” its an antiseptic, lots of owners use it for tail/scale rot, make shure to look up ratios (i dont know them off the top of my head i think its like 1to4or6parts water?) you need to dilute the solution down , I bought this product cause my girl had a tail nip when i got her and it turned a weird color so i treated it with that it might be wise to have this on hand, its a human grade product so if u get a cut aswell.
