Injured eye socket

Hi everyone, so driving home today, (I live in ireland) I found a dragon on the road with an obvious injured eye, I cant really see if the eye is still there there is blood around it, I'm mainly worried about infection, my local animal rescue is terrible I've tried to contact them countless times today, and to be honest I doubt they would know what to do either.. ive made a make shift terrarium from a large plastic storage box, few branches and some wood small low bowl of water.. any advice to get this dude back to health would be really appreciated.. thanks all

Poor little guy, good on you for rescuing him! Start with a warm bath. And then use some neosporin near the eye (not directly on the eye) to help with infections. See if he'll take any food.

Great job picking him up. Absolutely needs a vet not only for the injury but also to prevent secondary infection. I am sure you are already aware that the right environment with uvb, heating and humidity is essential.

Thanks, I've done what I can at the moment, I've cleaned the eye as best u can, give him some foor and make the best make **** holder I can, my local animal rescue are terrible, when I messaged them that had no idea what to do and because of the current lockdown I cant get him to a vet till tomorrow.. he is a lot more active today though and also seams to be eating some carrot and broccoli I put out, i tried to get some mealworms and stuff but all pet stores are closed...‍‍.. I think he will be ok...
