Infected leg… my parents aren’t keen on taking him back to the vet (URGENT)

First time posting here because I’m in need of answers.

My bearded dragon had a small infection back in late March/early April in his leg that we got drained and were prescribed antibiotics to treat him with following the vet appointment for two weeks.

It’s been around a month since then, and I noticed today that the swelling is much more significant than the past few days (looked somewhat normal with a little bit of swelling and reddish spots I assumed were small scars) with these darks areas and other areas that looks like skin peeking through. I’m worried it’s going to turn black and this is another/the same infection.

He is acting a bit more lethargic but is currently shedding and can still use it to walk. I’m worried this is giving him a lot of pain and if this infection could turn septic.

Last time, the vet said if the infection gets worse then they will drain it and we will do what we did last time (antibiotics at home) or amputate it.

My parents aren’t very keen on going back and forth to the vet (they find it a hassle more than anything) and are considering euthanasia. He is healthy aside from this. Does anyone know where I should go from here? Does anyone know what this is?

Before anyone asks why I can’t take him there myself: Im a teenager. I can’t drive. I can only advocate for him.

please get some raw unpasteurized honey on it ASAP- that is going to start to kill the infection but I would recommend getting him back to the vet -- what kind of antibiotic was prescribed? I am going to get some more help here on this one is a vet tech on the board she can advise -- but get the honey on it now example is Manuka honey please NO crickets in the tank if your feeding them -- what kind of UVB are you using? coil or long tube fixture? This is critical w/ the health of the dragon --

Here is one response I got
That looks really bad, I agree about the raw unpasteurized honey which is a powerful antibacterial. So did this start out with his femoral pores [ the bumps on his legs ] Because some vets mistakenly squeeze them and can sometimes cause infection.
It must be hard on your poor beardie and hopefully the raw honey can help some , I don't know what the vet can do but rather than let him suffer it might be good to amputate it or if it gets worse, to euthanize him. So the question is how long to try to treat it without him suffering too long.
