Thank you. I buried her by my stairs. None of the dogs are attempting to dig her up. She has her lady bug green blanket, husky toy pillow she loved to sleep with, and her harness, and some padding from her favorite pillow in her casket which is a large brown unmarked box with blue tape. It's hard to see the tank and then you hear noises that sound like her. I've decided to keep her logs and Winnie the Pooh Blanket and Georgia bulldog blankets as mementos. She loved all of her blankets and toys.

I'm looking up some thing about wrongful death and suing the vet's office for a number of things they did to her. Before I went to them: She was perfectly healthy, happy, and eating well. They didn't treat her with an antibiotic after her surgery because their facility is clean and sterile. And they said: Oh, she couldn't have gotten sick from us. Our surgical room is clean and sterile. It must have been you. And back in January when she contracted that severe Respiratory Infection the vet said: There's nothing more I can do for her and I don't believe in using a nebulizer because they get sicker.

I'm grieving and quite angry now. I cried a lot earlier, and now I'm peeved off at them. This is all their fault. They should've left well enough alone and not messed with anything. Or the lump that was bacterial in nature. To me, that lump was the reason why she had mouth rot and yellow fungus disease.

They don't get mouth rot unless it's a secondary infection and/ or inadequate temps, bad husbandry, poor diet. The secondary infection was that lump and then getting seven days treatment of the Baytril and peroxyl, and probiotic powder for her mouth rot. The mouth rot went away, but her yellow fungus disease did not. It wasn't poor Allie's fault for getting sick and going to Heaven. It's their fault for not treating her and seeing when I called them back in March.

I wrote them a long angry letter. They have really set me off into a rage and they keep taking off my posts. I'm going to get all of Allie's files and take them to court. I don't know if we're going to get another beardie. I have a feeling we may or may not. I was talking to a breeder who assures us they're healthy.

It's getting close to her bedtime and I can't even hold her because she's buried in the backyard in front of my stairs and back porch.

Upset. Even angry. I just discovered something about the person who refused service to my Allie. The person who took my call is a Veterinary Assistant. She made the decision herself not to let me in with an Emergency. We're going to sue her because my Allie was actually my therapy animal and worth over $500 because she was actually a Citrus and was the most expensive bearded dragons.

You cannot find a dragon that instantly bonds to you like Allie does. She crawled to me when I saw her and settled onto my shoulder. There was no doubt about it.

Its a horrible way to think but a lot of ppl in this world r so selfish and ignorant. And if its not something they know or care about they dnt give it a seconds thought. So to me n u and others who no Allies story is unforgivable and disgusting customer care. But sge wudnt have gave it a seconds thought. Ppl like that dnt deserve the jobs never mind the level of control in a job like that. It gets me so angry weather its an animal or a child or any living thing. Neglect or lack of care to any1 or anything is so utterly disgusting.

She doesn't deserve that job. Her job isn't supposed to make any vet decisions or anything for that matter. She is supposed to caring for the animals that are in the back in their kennels. If she would have put the Vet Tech on the phone, I would've sung a different tune.

I'm sure it has. We already told the Vet to fire her and she didn't so this is what happens. A vet assistant killing animals and reptiles by refusing to let the vet see them. And I get to spend my birthday trying to overcome that grief.

Noella, I'd lists the individuals and company as the defendants. There may be a company "policy" that had the person deny you, or it could have been the vet that said to do it and is back tracking using the assistant as a scape goat, or the assistant was being ... a b

At minimum I'd say animal cruelty, but before you act, calm your emotions, or work with someone who is calm. My mom was very fond of the phrase "you catch more flies with honey that you do ****." I think I speak for most the forum, we will be behind you through all of it.

The assistant is being a b....and the vet wasn't in that day to refuse. I have someone's who's calmer than me. I'm still grieving and checking on the grave to make sure the dogs aren't digging her up. (They have a habit of doing so and they haven't. Two of them attended the burial. One stayed away.)

I was reading about the Veterinarian Oath and Vets aren't supposed to turn away an animal who is suffering or sick. Or turn them away when there's an emergency. This assistant flat out refused without a vet present there to advise her. She did it on her own accord. She never talked to a Vet or the Vet Tech. Or she should've gotten the Vet Tech to talk to me instead. But no. She took things into her own hands and I lost my best friend. My Allie was worth over $500.

This is really sad. Like I told you on FB, in my office even when the patient owes money we still see them if they have an emergency. It's not about the money, it's about making them feel better. I also think (at least in dentistry) it is illegal for us not to see someone that has a problem if they owe money. Once we start a treatment on someone and a problem arrises because of the treatment we have to take care of them regardless. Also, you said they didn't treat her with antibiotics after her surgery because their office is sterile? That's not why you use antibiotics you use them to treat the inside of the body not the outside. If you only use antibiotics because you are in a dirty environment, then the whole world would be on antibiotics!

The vet said that the lump was bacterial in nature and I was reading that after a major surgery or any type of surgery, they're put on a course of antibiotics. Here's another thing you all should know. They also let her run around on the receptionist(s) desk, climb all over their shirt, etc, any unclean surface. I let Allie climb all over me, but I kept everything clean she sat on or ran around on. She needed an internal antibiotic if there's a bacterial infection.

I am so sorry Noella :-( I just lost my corn snake yesterday so I understand the loss of a loved one. As for the vet, it sounds like they were completely unethical and stupid about Allies care so I'd say give them what they deserve.
