Improving interaction between Snuggles the cat and George the beardie...

OK so I had Snuggles first (BTW I have bad luck with names, since Snuggles is not very snuggly) but she's a very active playful kitty. Unfortunately, her predator drive is extremely high. She's been fixed and all that but it hasn't changed her. Anyway, I've took precautions against her getting to George since she likes 2 perch on the end of the bed and just watch her. I introduced them to one another, but George was definitely nervous and Snuggles reacts to fast movements like any carnivore.

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is any pointers on how to get them to interact without issue? She's not large, not even 6 pounds and about a year old now. Or would it be best just to keep them separated? Another reason she watches is her interest in the crickets I think. I have 2 hide the thing I keep them in because she plays with it.

Any advice would be helpful!

ooooooooooooooooh, if kitty adapts to dragon I'll be surprised. Cats aren't domesticated in many ways. You can't remove their predatory instinct with equal or opposite reactions to behavior.

I'd allow Snuggles the play with a loose cricket.........my chi has a blast with them, but George i would keep far away from her. When you take him out, put the cat in another room. She may only be fascinated.......but do you really know for sure.
One scratch and George could be in for one heck of an infection.

Was thinking the same thing. I kind of cringe when I see cats and dogs around beardies. I know that most of the time those animals are very tame and not aggressive, but it only takes a second. Knowing that your cat is most likely going to "play" with your beardie, I would highly recommend not introducing them at all.

Thank you 4 the advice...I somewhat figured the same thing. I am just making sure his lid is extra secure just in case she gets a little too curious. But it seems she's just content staring at him and pawing at the glass. He just looks at her now like, "haha you can't get in" lol...
