I'm trying to watch this!

Precious had been out of her cage for some time, had settled down to rest in a spot on the shelf where I keep all the lizard supplies...this is one of her favorite places to rest and I always know when she's there because I see some of the stuff knocked down on the floor lol.
So I bring Tequila out on the bed and after a few minutes of watching, Precious jumped up on the bed to go see her.
Usually I have a blanket or pillows near the window so they can climb up there easily but I didn't this time. Precious eventually jumps up into the window on her own and she's looking down and watching Tequila as if she's waiting for Tequila to follow her. This is very typical of their relationship. Precious will start walking off somewhere, then looks back to see if Tequila followed. If Tequila didn't, then she goes back to her as if to remind her to come with.
So poor Tequila is looking up and trying to figure out how she could get up there. It's only about 8 inches up but Tequila isn't much of a jumper. She eventually did try to jump up, way too short a jump, and almost fell off the bed in the process. I finally put her up there with Precious.
At this point, my son and his friends were right outside the window playing and Precious was very intently watching them. Tequila kept nudging her and trying to get underneath her (she hides her head underneath everything at first, even underneath Precious). She was trying so hard to get Precious's attention but Precious was now focused on the kids outside. At one point, Precious even had a look on her face like "my goodness, I'm trying to watch this!" It reminded me of when I find a good movie on TV and I'm all in to it, then my son comes along and I want to say "Would you sit down, be quiet and just let me enjoy this movie!"

I love their relationship. I hope they continue to love each other like this. I have 2 shelves under my tanks that hold my reptile supplies. Whenever Luci is out running he makes his way to the shelves and crawls around on them. When he was small he used to climb between the openings now that's a little harder to do! I call it his "man cave" since it's right under his tank.

LOL, man cave...that's so cute! I have a small hide that I got for Tequila when she was younger that she outgrew. I haven't gotten rid of it because I think I could eventually use it as a stepping stone in either of their enclosures, so it's been sitting on the lizard shelf. Precious doesn't even like hides but one day I found her with her head and neck in the door but her body was out. She was just laying there. I honestly thought her head got caught in it and she suffocated herself! I think her head got in there easily but when she tried to pull it out, her spikes probably made it harder so she just patiently laid there waiting for someone to rescue her lol. She can be such a dork sometimes! But I think that reminded her why she doesn't like hides!

Yes, they are still really good with each other. Never once saw them acting a little funny or questionable with each other yet. Precious isn't as overt in her interest with Tequila like Tequila is but I'm pretty sure she'd still miss Tequila a little if I couldn't let them out together anymore.

Thanks! Tequila is a Merauke Blue Tongued Skink. She's still a juvenile, not even sure she's really a girl. But yeah, they still warm my heart when they get together, especially when they get all cuddly with each other .
I do still have to worry about when Tequila matures and is actually a boy and maybe all of a sudden gets aggressive/territorial...but I have a hard time seeing that happen, at least not anytime soon. Just like I knew Precious doesn't have a mean/bad bone in her body, I know Tequila isn't the least bit aggressive right now. She seems to look up to Precious like a big sister.

Precious and Dexter are like long lost sisters! Dexter has no mean bone about her. Lately Luci has been puffing up his beard when he sees her outside his tank and she just looks at me like "mama, why is he doing that". She doesn't react to him at all.

Aww! Yes, I always thought Dexter and Precious sounded like similar souls. But I think the next bearded I ever get is going to be a Luci lookalike if I ever find one, he is just so handsome . Actually, that brings me to a question I want to ask but I'm going to start a new thread with it lol.

He is handsome. Just looking at him he looks real plain but then when you really examine him and see all the different shades of brown he really is beautiful. As he sheds he gets a little bit lighter and he gets bits of orange on his face.
