Hi! I recently got a baby beardie. Ive had one before so im pretty knowledgeable on them but my baby has become inactive and not eating. He sleeps a lot or tends to just sit up with his eyes closed. Hes not impacted. He pooped after he ate last about 3 or 4 days ago. We gave him a pedialyte bath 3 days in a row to ensure hydration. Each time we did so his belly went from thin and frail to slightly larger. Hes under a uvb light and temp is 103. Ive had him for about 2 weeks at first he ate fine. Crickets. Mealworms and he loved when i hand fed him cabbage he slowly started eating less over the past few days. I plan to make a trip to the vet this comimg weekend if he makes it that long. I cant help but think he is ill. Any sugguestions?

Sorry your baby isn't well. I would bump the temp up to at least 107 babies like and need it warmer to digest their food. The exoskeleton on mealworms is very hard for beardies to digest I would switch to small supers or a soft bodied worm. Also, mix up the salad items. What are you using for UVB and where is it placed in the tank?

Sounds like a vet visit is needed for the little one if your feeling that he's in need. keep hydrating him and offering some different bugs no mealworms. Butter worms, waxworms, hornworms, dubia roaches
