Forgot to let yall know that from August 2nd to the 20th I am attending Naval Security Force training. So for these 3 weeks I am only around a computer late in the evenings and on weekends. Last few days we have been doing control techniques and I will tell you I had no idea that the human arm could bend in so many painful ways without tearing or breaking haha. Tomorrow I get sprayed with weaponized OC spray yippee for me lol. Just figured I'd let yall know what was up and why I am missing lol.

So I got sprayed with OC spray this morning and I can hands down say it was the most painful and horrifying experience of my life. They should call the stuff liquid hell. I can not believe I volunteered for this haha. T weeks to go and I a all done thank god.

I have a few army and marine friends that all said the same thing about some kind of spray, not sure what it was.

I bet your counting down the days

I was apparently very lucky as I never had a reflash. They say 2 to 4 hours after getting sprayed you will have a reflash as intense as the first spray and again in the shower but neither happened to me thank god

Well we started weapons training today. I take for granted that I was assigned with the marine corps for the last 5 years. I have had tons of weapon training with them. I was shocked today at the fact that I was the only one in training that knew how to use a M9 service pistol lol.

shotgun tomorrow and M16 thursday and friday

M4 is issued for overseas but security in the states is issued the m16 a4, has the same rale system just no collapsable stock like the M4

Brian,

Other than the arm bending and the liquid Hell, it sounds fun. Hope it's all downhill from here....

Navy does things so backwards. I am used to the Marine corps and their motto of "train how you fight" which is why we do ranges on the 200/300/and 500 yard line. On Navy ranges you apparently shoot the rifle only from the 25 yard line (which sucks with a rifle who's bullet doesnt even stabalize until the 35 yard point lol). With the shotgun you just fire for the hell of it you don't even try to aim (and tons of folks were missing with damn buck shot lol).

Made me feel very uncomfortable to be around all they highly untrained folks with loaded weapons lol.

Yea m4 is meant for close combat like house clearing. M16 a4 has better accuracy over distance to make up for the bulkiness. I had the A4 for both my deployments. OEF x2 for me.
