I haven't slept in 36 hours so I tend to get loopy and try to be funny. Thus the obnoxious title to my thread. It's meant to be funny, but you have to have a certain sense of humor.
Ok. I have been meaning to ask the following questions for roughly a half a year and what better time to ask than when I am half asleep (I can't stop myself).
From the literature I have read, I am totally confused.
Do Bearded Dragons have exceptional sight, exceptional hearing, or both? If you look at their tympanic membranes (hey, not bad. I still remember that from 9th grade) they are quite large which would make you think that they have unbelievable hearing.
But their eyes are, I don't know, kind of beady like. And I have heard that they have amazing vision which is kind of hard to believe.
I also read that they are very sensitive to vibration. But sadly, since many of Australia's roads are made of macadam, and Beardies go out to the roads to soak in the sun on roads and highways, they don't feel any vibration from the vehicles on the road and roughly 10,000 are run over by cars and trucks EVERY YEAR. That upsets me so much I try to push it out of my mind every time I think about it.
So does anyone have any information concerning these particular senses? Surprisingly, of the 9 plus books I have on B.D's., NONE of them discuss it.
Thank you everyone for everything and thank you for your kindness. I feel I have made many friends here and it's a nice oasis away from places like YouTube and IMBD where people are constantly throwing insults at you, as well as calling you names.
As I may have already written ( I have "Chemo Brain" so I forget things from time to time), I just left an emotionally abusive wife of 30 years that left me with "Battered Spouse Syndrome." So I am grateful for any form of kindness as well as anyone being nice and not insulting me.
